Committees

MTA committees are made up of volunteers and leaders who support programs, improve access, and help build a stronger tennis community statewide.




Awards Committee

Chair: Lisa Gilbride

The Awards Committee is responsible for recognizing and celebrating the outstanding achievements of individuals and organizations within the Maine tennis community. Through the nomination and selection of award recipients, the committee aims to honor those who have made significant contributions to the sport, both on and off the court. By celebrating the dedication and excellence of these individuals and organizations, the committee aims to inspire others to strive for excellence and to contribute to the growth and success of the sport in Maine.

Marketing Committee

Chair: Seth Meyer

The Marketing Committee is responsible for promoting the sport of tennis and the Maine Tennis Association to the public. Through the creation and distribution of marketing materials, the committee aims to raise awareness of the sport and the organization, and to attract new participants and supporters. By promoting the sport and the organization, the committee aims to increase participation, support the sport's growth, and build a more connected and thriving tennis community in Maine.

Youth Tennis Committee

Chair: Georgia Ahlers

The Junior Tennis Committee is dedicated to bringing coaches and facilities together to collaborate and strengthen youth tennis across the state. Through the sharing of ideas, resources, and information, the committee works to create meaningful opportunities for junior players. By organizing events and fostering collaboration among coaches and facilities, the committee aims to expand access, support player development, and build a more connected and thriving junior tennis community.

Maine League Committee

Chair: Marc Chadbourne

The Maine League Committee is responsible for advising the operation and management of the USTA leagues in Maine. The committee aims to provide a positive and engaging experience for players while building a more connected and thriving tennis community in Maine.
